About Dave Hunt Leisure

Founded in 1989 as an operator of Children's Rides and Attractions, Dave Hunt Leisure operates many children's attractions under concession. These include the popular Children's Roundabout in the Montague Centre, Worthing.

This ride was built in the mid 1960's by Coulson of Ripon in Yorkshire. It started off life on the West Pier in Brighton until the pier closed in 1974. It was then moved to the Lower Promenade, where it remained until late 1989, which was when Dave Hunt Leisure acquired it in a very derelict state.

After complete renovation, the ride spent the early 90's next to Brighton's (then) Palace Pier, before being moved to its current home as a permanent attraction in 1993. Following another complete overhaul in 2009, the ride now features pictures of Worthing in the 60's and 70's taken from old postcards. It's open on a daily basis (weather permitting) between 10.00am and 5.00pm.
